Purpose Statement: Build rapport that effectively develop strong community relationships to improve youth, community, and economic development.


James Forte’ was born in Little Rock, Arkansas. He received bachelors in Biology from Lane College in Jackson, TN. After receiving his degree, James joined the Peace Corps. His Peace Corps service was in Lesotho, South Africa where he was an education volunteer for two years. After finishing his commitment with Peace Corps he joined Teach for America. During his Teach for America commitment, James taught 8th grade science at Humphrey County Junior High in Belzoni, Ms.

He currently is focusing on fundamental issues with our children that will change the future. A youth center that will focus on the needs of children and help map the road to “success”. This youth center will have three focus areas social skills, emotional health, and reading comprehension.

Fun Fact: James likes to have brief yet deep conversations with strangers.
