Jon Delperdang

Master of Community Development


Purpose Statement: Do whatever I can to help as many people as i can to lead a better and more fulfilling life.

Jon is from Minneapolis, MN and studied political science and philosophy at the University of Minnesota. He taught math and ACT Prep for three years at West Bolivar High School in Rosedale, MS. This past summer Jon was blessed to get married to his wife, Amanda, and they have begun setting a foundation for building their lives together in the Mississippi Delta.

Jon is executive director of Greenville Renaissance Scholars, a nonprofit with the mission to inspire, motivate and prepare middle school students to succeed on a college track.  Jon is working to grow and expand GRS's programming in both the arts and academics. Examples of new planned programs include leadership development, dance, literacy club, Spanish club and STEM club.

Fun Fact: Jon lives in Leland, the home of Kermit the Frog Museum and Frogfest!
