Hannah Bagwell

Master of Education in Administration and Supervision

Jackson, MS

Hannah Bagwell is originally from Henderson, a small town in western Kentucky. She attended the University of Louisville with a victory lap so that she could graduate with a Chemistry degree, a concentration in business, and a minor in Pan-African studies. She is a 2014 TFA corps member who completed her TFA commitment in Utica, MS. She is still teaching in her placement school 8 years later.

She is very passionate about the outside world seeing teaching as the profession that it is. She feels strongly about the system of support that new teachers need in order to continue in this profession. For this reason, together with Pheron Russell, Hannah is focusing her social entrepreneurship project on a programming model that will provide new teachers with a professional mentor.

Fun Fact: Hannah has officially completed 2 out of the 3 Mississippi M’s. She just recently married a Mississippi native and the two have a spry young pup named Ajax. She does not think the third M (marathon) will be happening any time soon.

I pay no attention whatsoever to anybody’s praise or blame. I simply follow my own feelings.” She believes that it is important to live your life to the fullest trying to impress only yourself.
