In partnership with Pheron Russell, Hannah launched a mentorship program designed to connect new teachers with veteran educators, addressing Mississippi’s critical teacher shortage. The project was sparked by the alarming number of teachers leaving the profession each year.
Through the Fellows experience, Hannah learned the power of pivoting and adjusting while still making a difference. Her biggest takeaway from the Fellowship was recognizing the strength that comes from collaboration. By the conclusion of the project, the mentorship program had welcomed its inaugural participant, laying the foundation for continued impact.
